Eventicity
Planning events as a profession gives me lots of lessons ,including this:
Don’t expect to get to catch up or chit-chat with the hostess, organizer or honoree.
If the event was organized by you or for you, you won’t get to have any bonding time with anyone. But your guests will–to each other. (You might not even see them or notice that they came.) So sometimes, it’s great when it’s not your event. You can actually talk to people. Or choose not to attend at all.
